  The Caravel 16RB is one of four floorplans offered in the iconic Airstream Caravel line of travel trailers. The Caravel 16RB shares a floorplan with the Bambi 16RB, but with a few upgraded features. The Caravel line, like the Bambi line, features iconic Airstream styling in a lightweight single-axle design for easy towing. Also similar to the Bambi line, the Caravel comes in 4 floorplans. The 16RB is the most compact and towable, but the 19CB and 20FB offer a great blend of light-weight portability and a little more living space, and the 22FB is the largest and most roomy.

  Spend the Night in Comfort

  The rear bedroom of the Caravel 16RB features a pillowtop memory foam mattress. There is storage space underneath the bed. The rear panoramic window makes a nice addition to the bedroom area. To accommodate the children or a guest, the dinette converts to a bed for an additional sleeping area.

  Skip the Take-out and Eat In

  One of the expenses associated with travel is meals on the road. When you have a Caravel 16RB you can reduce the expense of meals by cooking inside the trailer. The Caravel 16RB features a kitchen with a stainless steel deep bowl sink with a Moen faucet, a 2 burner gas stove, a microwave, and a 12-volt compressor-style refrigerator. The dinette, with drawer storage beneath it, provides the ideal place to eat your meal.

  Wash Off the Day’s Dirt and Grime... Inside or Out

  The Caravel 16RB features a full wet bath, saving loads of space. A wet bath is purposely designed so that any surface within the bathroom can get wet. For those trips when you’re so dirty that you want to wash off some of the grit and grime before you step foot inside the trailer, you can enjoy the outdoor shower with both hot and cold water.

  Caravel Versus Bambi

  While the Airstream Bambi is iconic in its' own right, the Caravel line features a few slight upgrades. Both have nice features, but the Caravel is slightly more luxurious. One of the main features that is different on the Caravel is the ducted air conditioning. The Caravel has cooktop ventilation while the Bambi has a ceiling exhaust fan as ventilation for the cooking area. The water heater on the Caravel is a gas-electric model while the Bambi features a gas-only water heater.
